Super Mario World: The Good Parts

This is a modification (romhack) of Super Mario World designed to reduce the boring parts of the speedrun, while keeping the original level design and similar routing for short categories when possible.

What's different:

• Most flyover stages can be skipped with cape, mushroom, and/or yoshi.
• Some of the boring or redundant exits are removed.
• All exits can be completed by a casual player without using powerups or yoshi.
• Most autoscrollers have unlocked camera.
• Most slow-moving platforms can be skipped.
• Most water levels can be drained.
• A few stages have been modified to force players to engage with the level design.
• Castle cutscenes are disabled.
• An early entrance to Special World has been added.
• Other minor changes.

What's the same:

• Many of the levels are unchanged.
• Optimal routing for the following categories is preserved: 11 Exit, 11 Exit No Cape, Low% (Small Only), All Castles, No Star World
• Fun and consistent speed strats from the original game are mostly preserved.
